Emerald Glen was settled in the 1850's by Captain Henry Lynch and his family. The original homestead burnt down in 1900 and the present day house was built in 1906 by his son Ossian. The Lynch family continued to live and work the 900 acre farm till the late 1960's. More recently, Emerald Glen has been a popular Wedding Venue. And now, we are coming full circle, making Emerald Glen our family home. We invite you to come and enjoy this magical space!

Park in the lower carpark, just above the lake on the left as you come up the drive. Here you will be welcomed and escorted up through the recently planted living archway into the glen, where the original house was built in the 1850's. Keep an eye out for the ancient kitchen ware and tennis court net in the undergrowth! Then you will be taken on a gentle stroll around the large homestead before making your way over to......

The old woolshed, and discover its mysteries.....then across the paddock we will visit

The “Whare” (cottage) another original building from the 1850's. We now have a lovely friend– Lynne Hurley living here. Interestingly, the Lynch children's first school teacher was called Miss Hurley – is she linked somehow to our very own Miss Hurley?.....

The Whare - dating from the 1850's

Finally, you will be taken shown the meandering pathways of the Fairy Dell to meet the magical creatures,. Will you be able to find your way out past the Eye of Mordor Tree? Or, will the Wise Old Wizard Tree whisper any of his secrets to you? Perhaps, you will drop a silver coin into the the lake and make a wish before feeding the ducks....
